What You Can Do
Take a stand as a prochoice Catholic.
Educate yourself about your rights and about what the Church teaches.
Write letters to the editor in both the religious and secular press in response to bishop's statements, antichoice activity and other concerns in your area.
Raise issues of reproductive health, choice and women's rights in your parish. Invite parishioners to discuss these issues.
Call or write to legislators as a prochoice Catholic to encourage their support for legal reproductive health care and programs that increase women's choices.
Become active in CFC's campaigns such as Prevention Not Prohibition ,which supports public policies in favor of family planning; Condoms4Life, which is a worldwide public education effort to raise public awareness about the devastating effects of the bishops' ban on condoms; and See Change, which challenges the status of the Holy See at the United Nations, where they seek to limit access to reproductive choice.
Get involved on a personal level with women facing difficult choices.
Support each woman's decision to bear a child or to terminate her pregnancy by offering economic and emotional help.
If you are interested in getting more involved or would like more information, please contact us.
